Minnesota is located in the Beautiful Upper Midwest region of the United States. I love its beautiful natural landscapes. There is an abundance of Stunning Sights to enjoy!
The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness is a treat for the whole family. You can take in the Incredible Beauty of the North Shore of Lake Superior. And of course, there is the Mississippi River. Minnesota is also home to some of the best fishing anywhere. I enjoy Winter Fishing the most. We are known for our Walleye in this fishing haven. There are also many other species of fish available here for you to cast a line.
Outdoor Adventures When You Travel Minnesota
Visit the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. This is a vast wilderness area that is located in the northeastern part of the state. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, you will find this to be a slice of Heaven! You will stay busy as there are over 1,200 miles of canoe routes to explore. You can take advantage of the hiking trails and campsites found here. The Boundary Waters is also home to a wide variety of wildlife. You will set your eyes on Moose and Wolves. Even Bald Eagles!
Explore the North Shore of Lake Superior. The North Shore is a beautiful stretch of coastline. It stretches From Duluth in Minnesota to Ontario to the North and East. By surface area, Lake Superior is a Monster! It is the largest Freshwater Lake in the World. You will fall in love with the many charming towns along the way. You will have many state parks and natural areas to explore. There are so many attractions along the North Shore; too many to name. I would suggest Gooseberry Falls State Park, and the Superior Hiking Trail. The Banning State Park is also tough to beat.
You should enjoy the start of The John Beargrease sled dog race. This 400-mile sled dog race is Incredible! It is the longest, and toughest, sled dog race in the contiguous 48. It is also a qualifying race for the Iditarod in Alaska. The race runs entirely in Minnesota, from Duluth to Grand Portage. I love watching the dogs bark with excitement. It is really something to behold. You might want to take this in when you visit this unique state.
Visit The Minnesota Zoo
This Amazing Zoo is home to over 4,300 animals. You will find animals from around the world. This is an exciting way to spend the day with the family. It is located in Apple Valley and is very easy to get to. There are so many different exhibits. The variety is really something. They have everything from a tropical rainforest to a polar bear exhibit.
Do you love birds? Then you will love seeing the Bald Eagles and Owls. The Flamingos and Ducks are always a bit hit. You can get up close and personal to a Grizzly Bear. Of course, you are separated by a glass barrier. Wolves, Seals and Pumas. It is all here! You will certainly find something for everyone in this Incredible Oasis of Animal Heaven! This is the Excitement you will get when you Travel Minnesota.
Arts And Culture
You should definitely visit the Minneapolis Institute of Art. This museum is one of the top art museums in the country. It is home to over 100,000 Magnificent Works of Art from around the world. The museum’s collection is Incredibly varied. It includes everything from ancient Egyptian artifacts to modern “Works of Art”. You can go on tours. They offer classes. You can even check out the Family Days.
You need to check out the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. I can’t believe something this Incredible is free. That’s right. There is no admission. It is open 365 days a year, from 6 am to 12 midnight. Millions of visitors can’t be wrong. The garden is located in Minneapolis and is a “Must See Destination”. They offer a very handy self-guided tour sheet. This makes it very easy to find your favorite sculptures.
I suggest you take a stroll through the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. This Beautiful Arboretum is located just outside of Minneapolis. There are over 1,200 acres of gardens, woodlands, and prairies. If you love winter fun like I do you will enjoy this. They have snowshoe and ski trails for you to enjoy. You can even take in a Yoga or Meditation class. The arboretum is a great place to relax and unwind. You can really take in the beauty of nature.

The Kensington Runestone is something you should learn about. Although it has routinely been called a hoax and a fraud, I believe it is legitimate. Either way, it will be educational and fun. You can learn as you have fun. You can decide for yourself, just as I did.
Catch a show at the Guthrie Theater. The Guthrie is one of the top theaters in the country. It is home to a wide variety of performances for you to enjoy. They have everything from plays to musicals and concerts.
Take a trip to The Mall of America. This shopping mall is massive. It is located in Bloomington and is the largest mall in the United States. It has over 500 stores and attractions. There is an amusement park. You can even visit an aquarium.
Make time to visit the Minnesota History Center. This museum dedicates itself to the history of Minnesota. It is home to many exhibits and artifacts. Here, you can learn the history of this Wonderous State. It is located in St. Paul. You won’t find a better way to learn more about Minnesota’s past.
